Dr. Hans Keirstead is a leading stem cell expert and entrepreneur who has developed pioneering therapies for cancer, immune disorders, and motor neuron diseases. He founded multiple biotech firms acquired by major pharmaceutical companies, generating 2.5–9.5X investor returns, and holds board, Chairman, or CEO positions in biotech companies including AIVITA Biomedical and Immunis. Previously, Dr. Keirstead was a Full Professor at the University of California, Irvine, where he founded and directed the $77 million Sue and Bill Gross Stem Cell Research Center. During his 15-year tenure, he mentored over 100 students, published over 100 manuscripts, and was granted over 20 patents. Dr. Keirstead was listed as Discover Magazine’s “Top 100 Scientists” and has been featured by the New York Times, TIME Magazine, 60 Minutes, PBS, ABC and more. His honors include “Innovator of the Year,” “Best Technology CEO,” and “National Researcher of the Year.” A sought-after speaker, he has presented at the United Nations, Abundance360, NextMed Health, and the World Vaccine Congress. Dr. Keirstead received his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of British Columbia and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Cambridge.
