Dr. Christopher Thanos is the President and CEO of XDemics Corporation, a Caltech spinout addressing cell production bottlenecks across the biomedical R&D spectrum, from basic research to commercial therapeutics manufacturing. Dr. Thanos is also Cofounder of Voro Therapeutics, a biotech developing category-defining, tumor-activated biologics. Dr. Thanos has a proven, 35-year track record of innovation and value creation, with a breadth of R&D experience extending seamlessly from the bench to the boardroom. He has focused his career on the discovery and development of differentiated therapeutic modalities and technologies across biologics, ADCs, enzymes and cell-based therapies to treat cancer. He is a named inventor on 32 issued US patents protecting multiple clinically validated therapies and technologies. He has contributed to FDA approval in 5 commercial oncology products and an IDE-approved companion diagnostic. Dr. Thanos earned a PhD from UCLA as an NIH Predoctoral Fellow and was an NCI Postdoctoral fellow at UCSF and Sunesis Pharmaceuticals.
